Electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal recognized by the American Medical Association and approved by the FDA. This method can eliminate gray, red, and light colored hair that lasers cannot. Many areas can be treated including: arms, legs, thighs, back, bikini line, chin, upper lip, eyebrows, and hairline.

Electrolysis requires a series of treatments over a period of time, dependent on multiple factors. Coarseness and density of hair, total treatment area, as well as client tolerance determine the number and length of sessions required to remove hair permanently. While many hairs will be permanently removed after the first treatment, others will require additional sessions.
